Bill Mules

Director of Schools

Bill Mules has spent his entire career in education as a teacher of English (American style), a houseparent, counselor, coach, division head, and… for thirty-two years Headmaster. In 2007 he retired from the post of Head of School at The American School in London after nine years in that assignment. It was in that year that Bill joined the Board of The British International School of New York. He also serves on the Foundation Board of The American School in London.

Bill was educated at Princeton University (AB in English), The Johns Hopkins University (Masters in Education), and The University of Virginia (Doctorate in Education.) He has taught at the college level (McDaniel College) and served as a Dean at Washington and Lee University.

Bill and his wife Mimi (She is a medical researcher at Johns Hopkins Medical School) live in Baltimore. They have two daughters, Rebecca and Blake, and two grandchildren, Will and Caroline. Photos of the grandchildren are available upon request.
